Established in 1952, when the American Massey Harrison merged together with Britain based Harry Ferguson Limited. It was officially renamed Massey Ferguson in 1958, a rendition of both company’s names. Massey Harrison was a leading manufacturing company, which already merged two north American agricultural brands: Massey manufacturing and Harrison & Son respectively. Whilst, Harry Ferguson limited was a brand build by founder Henry George Harry ferguson who was an agricultural engineer, who famously created the worlds first four wheel drive F1 vehicle and became the first Irish man to design and then produce his own aeroplane. His creativity and innovation was instrumental, in establishing his company and developing modern day tractors with cutting edge technology.
After 1958, Massey Ferguson had a few conflicts as both brands weren’t completely merging their internal resources and were still acting as separate entities, nonetheless Massey Ferguson has gone to be one of the global leading agricultural and tractor manufacturers offering a large range of tractors that are high quality, starting from the 35 series to the 299 series. The designs of Massey Ferguson tractors are very popular and reliable, with many costumers admiring their technical specifications.
